After buying her first home and loving the whole experience, Khadija Laurens knew real estate was the right path for her. Now a licensed broker with Compass, she’s been helping clients for over 18 years across neighborhoods like Lincoln Park, Lakeview, Lincoln Square, Gold Coast, River North, South Loop, West Loop, and Evanston.

Originally from France, Khadija came to the U.S. through an exchange program while earning her master’s degree in economics and international relations. Her multicultural background makes it easy for her to connect with clients from all walks of life, bridging language and cultural gaps with ease. Before diving into real estate, she gained valuable experience interning in Boston, helping companies set up legal, HR, and accounting departments. In 2005, she made Chicago her home after getting married and spent a few years working in the nonprofit world before fully embracing her passion for real estate.

Khadija’s friendly nature and fluency in French also allow her to work closely with international clients and families moving to Chicago. Many start by renting, and when they’re ready, she helps them find their perfect home. Her proudest moments come when these clients tell her how comfortable and supported they felt during the process — turning a new city into a true home for them and their families. Even better, when those same buyers eventually sell and share how much they loved their time in their home and neighborhood, Khadija feels a deep sense of fulfillment.

Recognized as a Top Producer by the Chicago Association of Realtors in 2017, Khadija combines sharp negotiating skills and deep local knowledge with patience and a genuine dedication to educating her clients every step of the way.

Beyond real estate, Khadija is active in the community. She volunteers with the Women’s Board of the Alliance Française de Chicago and other non-profit organizations. She’s also deeply involved with the Lycée Français de Chicago, where her three sons are in eleventh, eighth, and seventh grades. The family shares a love of staying active — they look forward to participating in the Chicago Triathlon together every year. And after picking up tennis and pickleball just few years ago, she’s now completely hooked on the sports.
